Spring Wreath

My friend, Heidi, invited me to come over to make a wreath I had been admiring, that she had done.

I used the Gift Bow Bigz Die to make the flowers.  I had some Wilton cake cardboard that I had bought when I was trying my skills at cake decorating. This I used for the base.  Then I wrapped it with burlap ribbon. Each flower was made by cutting 10 of the smallest ribbon die (paper was 2' x 4 1/4), folding it in half and cutting each petal with scissors. Each petal was glued, with a hot glue gun, to another 1 1/2" circle. There are two rows of 5 petals for each flower. The centers were punched out with the 1 1/2" punch and run through the Decorative Dots embossing folder. I used Night of Navy, Crushed Curry and Early Espresso cardstock.  Love how it looks hanging on the door.

3D Shadow Box

I had so much fun yesterday with KJ and her friends making a 3D shadow box that she and her friend Chris designed.

You can't begin to appreciate the details but we stamped the background and built from there putting the bench, tree, etc. together.  I have hung it over the wet bar in our downstairs so I can look at it often.

I would love to crawl inside and spend the day in this lovely garden.  We are going to make other seasons to change out.  I can't wait.

Hello Spring!

I love daisies, so I had to have the Springtime Hello stamp set from Celebrate THE everyday catalog.  My colors are Crushed Curry, Garden Green and Whisper White.  I used the Oval Framelits and the Modern Mosaic embossing folder.  The inside looks like this:

The high today is suppose to be 70.  I'm ready for my daisies to bloom!

Masculine Card

I have always loved the Open Sea stamp set.  We were asked to come up with a masculine card for swaps.  So I decided to use this stamp set.  I, also, had never used the World Map stamp.  So this gave me the opportunity to do that.

Cardstock: Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Pool Party
Ink Pads: Early Espresso, Night of Navy
Ink Pen: Pool Party
Punches: 1" and 3/4 " circle punches, Word Window
Stamp Sets: Open Sea, World Map, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Labels Collection Framelits
I sponged all of the pieces with Early Espresso except for the Pool Party greeting.  I sponged and stamped with Night of Navy.

After stamping the World Map on a piece of Very Vanilla, 4 1/2 x 3 3/4" ", I cut it into 1 1/2 inch pieces. We have been doing card fronts for our swaps; so the Night of Navy is 5 1/4 "x 4".
I'm ready to sail away for the summer!
