Parker's Patterns from the Spring Catalog

During Leadership 2013, we received a pack of paper called Parker's Patterns and a package of Designer Builder Brads.from the Spring Catalog.  I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with these two things until today when I designed this card.

I used a lot of things from the new Spring Catalog.

• Daffodil Delight Card Stock for the main card 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 in.
• Cajun Craze 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 in.
• Marina Mist Card Stock 2 1/4 x 1 1/4 in.
• Glimmer paper scrap silver colored with Daffodil Delight to put inside the Designer Brad
• Parker's Pattern DPS  2 1/2 x 3 1/2 in.
• Designer Builder Brads
• Hearts a Flutter Stamp set and Framelits
• Oval Framelits
• Daffodil Delight and Marina Mist Ink Pads
• Small circle punch

I love the color on color technique. 

Vintage Cards Using Sale-a-bration Stamps

I made a sample of these cards during my downline meeting with Jo Golden.  I love the Feeling Sentimental Stamps from Sale-a-bration. I also used the stamp set French Foliage for the background.

• 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 in. Early Espresso for the card 
• 5 1/4 X 1 1/2 in. Designer Paper First Edition
• 5 1/4 X 4 in. Very Vanilla
• Rip the left side of the Very Vanilla paper
• Punch the corners with the 3/16 in. corner punch
• Sponge all of the sides with Chocolate Chip ink
• Stamp the back ground with the French Foliage Stamps

• Then choose one of the stamps from Feeling Sentimental
• The Celebrate is also from the Feeling Sentimental but you could use any greeting you choose.

Framelits Storage

Are you looking for some storage ideas for your framelits?  I decided to use the packaging that the framelits originally came in in order to cut costs.  I cut a piece of magnetic sheet 5" X 6". My sheets were 8 1/2 X 11.  I was able to get two pieces out of one sheet.  I left the backing on so that the adhesive would not stick and therefore, it would slide in and out easily.  I left the Big Shot description folder in the envelope on the back side in order to have the paper sizes available for the framelits when I use them.

 I hope you can use this idea.  It is wonderful to be able to see the framelits and have them stay in one place.

Last Minute Gifts

If you are looking for something fun and easy to give for Valentine's Day, here is an idea using Jelly Jars.

Fill the jars with chocolate kisses and then decorate them any way you want. I used the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Spring catalog. I love this paper. Using the 2 1/2 inch circle punch works perfectly for covering the lid of each jar. This is a great idea if you need something to give to your child's teacher. Your children can even help with the decorating.

Latest Valentine Card

Here is a Valentine Card using the Heartfelt stamp from Layered Labels stamp set and forever love from Fabulous Phrases Stamp Set.

I used Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White card stock. I embossed the Heartfelt stamp with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder. I also embossed forever love with white embossing powder. I used dimensionals to make the scalloped oval pop and finished off the card with Cherry Cobbler ribbon. I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do.

My Shelli Banner

I fell in love with the beautiful banner that Shelli had made and displayed during Leadership 2013. So, I decided to try my hand at making it. Here are the results.

Then I had to hang it on my fireplace!
