Brian and I have been struggling with retirement questions? What should we do with our lives? Where should we live? What lifestyle do we want? What are our dreams for the future? All legitimate questions, right?
Our small group has decided to read (or reread as the case may be) The Purose Driven Life by Rick Warren. Brian and I studied this book years ago with a small group when we lived out in Falcon. I guess God said, "You need to read it again. You've lost focus."
"It hit me right between the eyes! Focusing on ourselves will never reveal our life's purpose." We've been praying, "God what should we be doing?" Instead we need to be praying, "God what is your purpose for us?"
24-26Then Jesus went to work on his disciples. "Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You're not in the driver's seat; I am. Don't run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I'll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self. What kind of deal is it to get everything you want but lose yourself? What could you ever trade your soul for? (Msg)
I told Brian that I feel as if we have come full circle. We talked about moving and I've spent lots of time researching my dream to live on the water but for now, I feel God is telling us to stay put. That is not the dream He wants us to pursue at this time.

Linda- You are so right and I might just read the book again. Life is so short, silly to run in circles looking and searching for what we want when what we need is in front of us... it just might not be what our plan was, but it is good and we will be happy when we arrive.
It was so great to see you and cant wait for July! Love you!
P.S. Where did you get your bag? I know you told me but I can not remember the name.
